Partouche To Open An Exciting New Casino in Bath

The Partouche Group  , established in 1973 by Isidore Partouche, is a global company with casinos and other interests in Belgium, Switzerland, France, Tunisia, and other countries. The group operates 43 casinos today, and will be doing so for Global Gaming Ventures in its new Sawclose, Bath casino that’s set to open in 2018.

Global Gaming Ventures has operated in a primarily online capacity since being launched in 2010, but with Sawclose and other land-based establishments it is looking to expand its portfolio. There is nowhere better to be doing this right now than the United Kingdom.

Land-Based Casinos’ UK Growth

The casino landscape in the United Kingdom has always been more populous and diverse than that of Europe. There are more than 100 brick-and-mortar establishments dotted around the United Kingdom. The Netherlands, in contrast, has only 14, and the rest of Europe is similarly sparse.

Since 2011, the already-busy land-based UK casino scene has grown exponentially. Smaller establishments have given way to a new wave of Vegas-style casinos that offer the complete experience, including dining, entertainment, spas and other appealing attractions. Due to the digital age, land based casinos have to compete with online casinos (https://gamblingonline.net.nz/), which means the offering has to be further enhanced. The Partouche group always gets this right, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The first of these, Aspers Casino, was opened in London in 2011. Many more casinos have followed, and many more are planned.

Partouche’s Bath Casino is Part of New Wave

Although it has been described as a small casino in press releases and correspondence, the new Partouche casino in Bath is definitely part of the new generation of land-based gambling destinations in the UK. Approval was granted provisionally by the Bath Council in 2012 and then fully in 2014, so its planning started just as the new wave was gathering momentum.

The project is expected to cost GBP 19 million, and will feature a Z hotel, a casino floor and 2 restaurants. The establishment will add to the thriving bar and dining scene that already exists in Sawclose, especially with an outdoor seating area and crowd traffic controls that are intended to allow the leisure and dining hub to prosper.

An upstairs smoking area will feature fantastic views of the historic Theatre Royal (https://www.theatreroyal.co.uk/) that is directly opposite the venue, and the casino will feature Poker tables, Slots, Electronic Games and other Table Games. A VIP Bar on the casino floor should enhance playing experiences even further and make the casino all the more attractive.

Proceeding Apace

Although the new casino is located on a historic site, where the Pavilion Music Hall and then the venue for Gala Bingo stood, the project has only suffered a few minor delays. Since being closed in 2014 and partially demolished to make way for new structures, developers Deeley Freed Estates have lost minimal time, and the establishment should be finished within 6 weeks of its original projected date of completion.

Major structural work should be finished by August 2017, and keys will then be given to individual owners. After finishing touches have been added, everything is expected to open by the spring of 2018. Generation of several full-time jobs and training opportunities, as well as high-quality gambling experiences is anticipated, giving the local economy a boost too.
